cheap basic hotel located down a side alley in Soi 20

Syama Sukhumvit 20 is a basic hotel located down a side alley so it can be easily missed and a little awkward to locate, however the staff there are friendly and the rooms are a reasonable size and clean. Its located in Sukhumvit (Soi 20-) and the rooms are neutral decor with reasonable beds. The bathroom is old and dated and has a shower curtain there e is no shower screens. The hotel is walking distance from BTS Asok station Pros: Reasonable size rooms A couch located in the room clean beds are reasonably comfortable close to BTS Asok station Cons: Location is a little awkward to find Bathrooms are with poor lighting and no shower screens Its a basic but reasonable hotel and not bad for a few nights stay.

All in all a good hotel, big rooms, clean and modern. The gym is very small... and the pool.. is even smaller. Breakfast is poor. The location is amazing and the hotel is quiet. The price was affordable.

I stayed at this property for 4 nights last week, for the first time, and what a revelation it was. Generally I stay at another larger hotel nearby, but this time decided to look at a smaller property. This hotel is conveniently located in a sub Soi ( laneway) off Soi 20, near the corner of Sukhumvit road. This location provides easy access to the BTS network , sports bar and assorted restaurants in Soi 20; as well as the assorted bars and massage shops in Soi 22. A 10 minute walk will give you access to the restaurants and Soi Cowboy area. The hotel is deceiving when you first see it , as it is a small building , with a small reception area ( which doubles as the breakfast room). However, the rooms are big......as in huge..!! My room had a 2 seater couch with chaise, huge double bed ( had to be close to a king size), and a big Sony flat screen TV. Then there was the separate bathroom, with 2 sinks.....a separate toilet, and a shower room. The shower room had a rainwater shower,hand held shower, and a spa bath, along with a flat screen TV. The room contained a safe, ironing board and iron , as well as mini bar, and numerous power outlets, as well as an automated control system for lighting, and aircon. So......lets talk about the good and the bad..... Good. Room.......brilliant, very well equipped , and extremely comfortable ( possibly the best bed I have slept in. Location.....great location in a quiet side street.....although there are a couple bars in the immediate vicinity , but easy access to so much Bangkok has to offer. Bad. ( or potentially bad) My room backed onto a car park for mini buses at the hotel next door, so there was some noise, however , it was minimal. The pool is more like a plunge pool as you can't actually swim in it, rather dip and float around. It is a small hotel.......staff are at a minimum, and the breakfast area only seats 8 people.....I think it has less than 15 rooms. Having spent 4 nights there, I would say for a single person, or couple it is a great option. My room was exceedingly cheap by comparison with other properties , and included wifi and breakfast..... Will I stay there again?........most definitely

Great location just a few minute walk to BTS Asok, daily room clean. Full toileties refilled. Iron and board set up in room. All electricity control in the center smart board. Reasonable price in room with jacuzzi Recommended and I ll return it again.

Clean, good housekeeping, quick and easy check-in, convenient location. Very comfy bed and bedding. Good bathroom and double sink. Separate bathtub with TV. Quiet at night... good night's sleep. Good lighting system with bedside controls. Not all rooms have city view even though that is what's advertised. Shower head and rain shower we're good but in the corner of the bathroom with not much space around it. This place is great value if you can get a good deal on the nightly rate via booking websites.
